AboutYatteranneeze! is a seven volume long yaoi manga series by Koh Akizuki and Mieko Koide. It's about Fujimoto Hiroya, a excellent student and role model, who never does anything he shouldn't do. Masaki Ryuu on the other hand has a bad reputation, bleached hair, and couldn't care less about school. Fujimoto decides he is going to change his dull life and image. In line with this new goal, he decides to become friends with Masaki. At first Masaki takes complete advantage of Fujimoto's naivette, but before long, he develops feelings for him. Now, can Masaki wonders if he can find a way to win Hiroya's heart after being dishonest with him.The wonderful thing about Yatteranneeze is that we get to see their relationship develop and evolve in a very realistic way. There are no perfect first times or immediate happy ever afters and as the story progresses they deal with serious issues such as aids and homophobia. There is tons of angst, but also a lot of wonderful fluff filled moments/scenes. It's a series I'd instantly recommend to anyone looking for an interesting and serious series.
