About the Series

The series focuses on the relationship between the main characters Somuku Kanou and Yukiya Ayase. Kanou saves Ayase when he was being sold at auction to pay for his cousins debt, however this leaves Ayase indebted to Kanou now. Kanou gives Ayase a way to pay off his debt. Each time he sleeps with Kanou a set amount will be deducted from what he owes him for buying Ayase. However, as the pair share the same bed feelings grow.

This obviously makes for an extremely interesting tale, made even more wonderful by both main characters' interesting (and often conflicting) personalities and also the many wonderful or wonderfully evil secondary characters they run into. It should be noted that Ayase is apparently the most lusted after uke of any yaoi series and everyone who meets him wants to have him. This makes for some tense and angst filled moments. Imo Ayase is one of the most sadly tragic ukes in the history of yaoi, but I have faith Kanou who has zero clue how to show his feelings will eventually get a clue or two by the end of the series and their feelings for each other will end up being well known, resulting in a lovely and fluffy happy ending for all :D

Besides the manga itself, there has also been an artbook/fanbook published (which contains a side story), several yaoi drama cds, a ton of doujinshi (containing part novel) and several illustrated yaoi novels.
