About

Kare First Love is a ten volume long shoujo manga series by Kaho Miyasaka. It tells the story of high school students, Kiriya Aoi and Karino Karin. When the series begins, Karin is a shy and unnoticable girl with glases who can't stand up for herself. Kiriya on the other hand is cool and noticed by all the girls. A chance meeting leads to Kiriya discovering just how beautiful Karin really is under the glasses. With his help, she comes out of her shell (both physically and personality wise). They fall in love with each other and face many trials together (mainly in the form of family interference and obligations). Together they overcome them and help each other follow their passions (Karin loves to play piano and begins to model/act because of her looks and Kiriya is a very talented photographer). In addition to the wonderful love story between the main characters, this series also has wonderfully memorable secondary characters who make reading the story just as pleasurable.
