This is the fanlisting for Deedlit from the anime/manga series Record of Lodoss War as listed and approved by The Anime Fanlistings (Part of The Fanlistings). It is currently owned by Rosemary and is part of Ruby's Domain and The Flames of Addiction. It was originally owned by Danielle, who was wonderfully kind enough to allow me to adopt it (<3!!) it September 2004. Much thanks and love go out to her for that ^_^

Who's Deedlit?
She's one of the main characters from the wonderful fantasy anime series Record of Lodoss War, which has many incarnations including an OAV series, several TV series and several manga series, including Deedlit's Tale, which would probably be of special interest to visitors of this fanlisting! ^^

Getting Down to Basics
Deedlit is a High Elf from the Forest of No Return and the love interest of Parn (the second main character of the series). Being a high elf, she has a strong talent for magic and can call on the three spirits/elements: Light, Sylph (aka wind), and Undine (aka water). We're told in Record of Lodoss War Island (a TV show that features the cast in adorable and cute chibi form) that she's 160 years old.

Deedlit is known as Deed to her friends and though at times she can be a bit silly she is very powerful in terms of magic and with her weapon of choice (a thin sword, similar in look and thiness to a rapier). She fights beside Parn and is adorably jealous when it comes to him as well. She's always trying to gain both his visible attention and affection :)

Why Do I Love Deedlit?
Deedlit is one of the first female anime characters I ever fell in love with. Record of Lodoss War is one of the firt series I was exposed to (in terms of seeing a complete one) early on and I've loved it muchly ever since. It's a wonderful epic fantasy story with alot of action, endearing characters and a beautiful love story. Deedlit is a strong female character who fights along side the people she cares about. She doesn't merely watch from the sidelines. However, she's a terribly human character in terms of characteristics (considering she isn't in fact human that is, lol). She gets jealous, she can be ditzy, but she loves deeply and does things bravely.

Plus, I still contend that she's one of the prettiest female characters of any anime series. Sourcing images for this fanlistings was very enjoyable and as you can probably tell, I did get a bit carried away with using the gorgeous images of her when making codes for the fanlisting (Is it obvious which picture is my favorite? *coughs*).

I was thrilled when Danielle asked if I'd like to take over this fanlisting for her, since Deedlit is the reason I love Record of Lodoss War and one of my favorite early anime memories :) Danielle has taken wonderful care of this fanlisting and I only hope I can do as good a job with it. ^_^
