AboutThis fanlisting was adopted from Anna. Thank you so much! ♥Frances 'Baby' Houseman and Johnny Castle are the two main characters in the 1987 hit dance movie, Dirty Dancing. Baby is 'daddy's little girl' - she does no wrong and is always making her parents proud. Johnny is your typical 'bad boy' (of course deep down he has a heart of gold). Johnny is the dance instructor at the resort Baby and her family are staying at during the summer. She meets him by chance and thanks to her big heart and desire to help people starts to spend a lot of time with him. They fall in love with each other and are willing to risk everything (job, futures, reputations) to be there for each other. I grew up watching Dirty Dancing and have watched it countless times over the years. I always loved the relationship between Johnny and Baby from when I was a little girl and I still do today as an adult. They make each other's lives interesting and because of each other, both become better people. Johnny learns that people can be good and that it isn't always useless to stand up for what you believe in, because people can make a difference in other people's lives. Baby learns what it means to be in love and that the world isn't perfect, but somehow you can be true to who you are and impact people despite that. At the end of the day, they both loved each other enough to accept each others faults and be willing to make sacrifices for each other.
